FOLLOWING POSITION:
OPERATIONS MANAGER FULL TIME POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting to and
occasionally deputising for the CEO, this position encompasses
leadership and oversight of service provision by Chrysalis CDP to
those impacted by substance use and other addictive behaviours. The
Operations Manager will assist the CEO in planning, developing and
delivering services. They will also ensure that the organisation is
compliant, accountable and aligned with strategic and operational
requirements while implementing necessary improvements and changes.
The position will be based in Dublin City Centre
This position is a permanent position - after completing a minimum
6-month probation period and verification of references and may be
subject to Garda clearances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SERVICE PROVISION
* To oversee the day-to-day operations of service provision,
* To act as designated safeguarding lead for the organisation,
* To ensure the implementation of changes and improvements to
service users based on emerging needs and current trends and patterns,
* To oversee the development of service user involvement in our
service,
* To develop and grow interagency collaboration and partnerships in
place with Chrysalis,
* To introduce, promote and implement new service models based on
evidence-based practice,
* To ensure the services provided by Chrysalis are guided and
underpinned by appropriate policies, procedures and knowledge,
* To build a network of senior-level contacts that lead to
collaborative and partnership work,
STAFF SUPPORT
* To provide leadership to team leaders in the delivery of their
roles,
* To provide regular support and supervision to team leaders in line
with our Employment Engagement Strategy,
* To oversee support structures for all staff, volunteers and
students,
* To promote and develop professional skills within service delivery
such as MI, CRA, CBT, Resonance Factor, Seeking Safety and Reduce the
Use,
* To assist in the recruitment, onboarding, probation, and
continuous development of staff,
* To develop, lead, and manage performance management systems,
ADMINISTRATION
* To keep accurate records, and document work,
* To provide timely and accurate reports to CEO and to represent
this information to the Board,
* To monitor, track and evaluate all planned and undertaken work,
* To ensure that quality standards in data recording methods are
adhered to throughout the organisation,
* To comply with all Chrysalis policies and procedures,
* To identify physical and non-physical risks to the team, service
users and other stakeholders, and report and manage these risks with
the guidance of the CEO,
* To ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings in
accordance with Health & Safety legislation, Chrysalis policies and
good practice,
* To understand, support, and promote Health, Safety and Welfare and
Human Resources standards in Chrysalis, ensure that Health and Safety
standards are met within Chrysalis,
* To attend regular supervision and line management sessions with
CEO, and supervision with external supervisor,

PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
* Relevant third level qualification; essential
* Qualification in leadership, management or project management;

* Evidence of a track record of continuous professional development;

EXPERIENCE
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior management level in
addiction services or similar with a proven track record of success in
leading development and delivery of services; essential
* Experience in strategic planning and development, risk management
and innovation; essential
* Substantial experience of managing and developing staff and
building high-performance teams; essential
* Experience of managing/leading teams within addiction services or
similar; essential
* Experience of staff supervision and support; essential
KNOWLEDGE
* Expert knowledge of managing teams/services within a harm
reduction and person-centred ethos,
* Substantial knowledge of the Irish Addiction sector including
services and networks,
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies in relation to
managing an addiction service with charitable status,
* Strong understanding of the support and supervision needs of
frontline staff,
* Strong understanding of the principles of monitoring and
evaluation of services and ways to measure impact and outcomes,

* Strong leadership skills,
* Clear and effective communication skills,
* Strong administrative and report-writing skills,
* Ability to develop innovative services for people experiencing
substance use,
* Ability to liaise, advocate and negotiate with multiple of
stakeholders,
